One of my biggest inspirations in life has been the life and work of nature preservationist John Muir. If it wasn't for Muir's tireless work and efforts the National Park system of the United States might not exist today. I've had so many life changing experiences in some of those amazing parks that I feel forever grateful to this inspirational being for his commitment to creating change for the good of all.
John Muir understood the healing power of nature and the countryside and that by escaping the city and communing with nature our thoughts can become still, we can tune back into ourselves and reconnect with our own inner guidance. John understood the power of slowing down, he was an adventurer who took his time to take in all around him and let it nourish his soul.
It's so important to take time out for yourself. To be in nature and escape the city, if you can't escape the city then find a park, take your shoes off and lie down and soak up some of that earth essence and wisdom. Nature knows how to just be, it doesn't question, it just is.... we can learn so much from this beautiful planet if we take the time
Happy Earth Day XX
